The members of the national team arrived in the homeland on Tuesday evening, where they were given a warm and warm welcome by the residents of Rabat, Salé and other Moroccan cities. King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Princes Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, received today, Tuesday, in the Throne Hall of the Royal Palace in Rabat, members of the national football team, after their outstanding performance in the FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022 .

This reception reflects the high care that the King has always surrounded the youth with, and the special attention he gives to the sports sector in general and football in particular. It follows the historic and unprecedented achievement of the national team, which managed to reach the semi-finals, in the first and most splendid brilliance of its kind for Moroccan, Arab and African football in the finals of this global sporting event.

During this ceremony, the king decorated the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fawzi Lakjaa, the national team coach, Walid Regragui, and the players who were accompanied by their mothers with royal decorations.

Thus, King Fawzi decorated Lakjaa and Walid al-Rakraki with the Order of the Throne of the rank of Commander. He was also awarded the Medal of the Throne in the degree of officer of the national team players: Ghanem Sayes, Yassine Bounou, Ashraf Hakimi, Naseer Mazraoui, Sofiane Amrabat, Nayef Akrad (graduate of the Mohammed VI Academy for Football), Hakim Ziyech and Ezzedine Onahi (graduate of the Mohammed VI Academy for Football). 


And the king nominated, with the same medal, Abd al-Razzaq Hamdallah, Anas Zaruri, Abd al-Hamid Sabiri, Mounir al-Kajwi, Elias al-Shaer, Zakaria Abu Khalal, Salim Amlah, Abd al-Samad al-Zalzouli, Sufyan Boufal, Jawad al-Yamiq, and Youssef al-Nusiri (graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy). And Ashraf Dari, Walid Al-Shadira, Ahmed Reda Al-Taknouti (graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy), Bilal Al-Khanous, Badr Bannoun, Yahya Atiyatallah Al-Idrisi, and Yahya Gibran.

In parallel, the King gave his royal instructions to hand over royal medals to all members of the technical and medical staff of the national team, in appreciation of the exceptional work they performed.

After that, a souvenir photo was taken of the King, accompanied by Crown Princes Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, with the members of the national football team and the mothers of the players present. On this occasion, the members of the national team presented souvenirs to King Mohammed VI, expressing their gratitude to the Moroccan monarch for the support he provided them throughout the stages of this global competition.
