In a new development, British health authorities are trying to identify a possible link between the 'Covid-19' epidemic and a serious disease that has recently afflicted a small number of children, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced Tuesday.

This newly developed disease is similar to Kawasaki disease, a vascular syndrome that affects young children and its causes are still unknown.

Doctors in Britain, Italy, and Spain have been warned to look out for a rare inflammatory condition in children that is possibly linked to the new coronavirus.

Minister Hancock said in remarks to the British 'LBC' radio today that 'this is a new disease that we might think is caused by the Corona virus ... we are not completely sure because some people who were infected with it have not been confirmed in the laboratory (with the virus) ... we do a lot of research, but This is of concern to us. '

Among the symptoms recorded in young patients, abdominal pain, digestive disorders and myocarditis.

'It is a very rare disease, but I suspect that its association with this virus is completely believable, at least in some cases,' Britain's Health Service head Chris Wighty said Monday at the government's daily press conference on the Coruna epidemic.

In Italy, Dr. Angelo Ravelli of Gaslini Hospital and a member of the Italian Paediatricians Society, sent a note to 10,000 colleagues with related concerns. He and his team reported an unusual increase in the number of patients with Kawasaki disease, noting some children had COVID-19 or had contacts with confirmed virus cases.
