More than 92,000 people have signed a petition protesting the return of Jeff Bezos, the world's richest man, Amazon founder, to Earth after the space flight.
Bezos had previously announced that on July 20, he and his brother would make a space flight aboard the New Shepard spacecraft produced by his company, Blue Origin. And that a third seat was sold in an online auction to another person for $28 million.
"Billionaires should not be on Earth or in space. But if they choose space, let them stay there," reads the petition, which was published in full on Change.org two weeks ago.
It is reported that Blue Origin conducted 15 tests of the New Shepard spacecraft, the last of which was in mid-April.
