The United States of America topped the overall standings of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games for the third consecutive Olympic Games, with 113 medals, ahead of China and Japan.

The United States of America topped the overall standings of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, hosted by Japan from June 23 to August 8, 2021, with 113 medals (39 gold, 40 silver and 33 bronze).

China ranked second with 88 medals (38 gold, 32 silver and 18 bronze), followed by host Japan, in third place, with its best result in the history of its Olympic participation, with 58 medals (27 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze).

Britain ranked fourth in terms of gold medals, with (22 gold, 21 silver and 22 bronze).

Russia, which participated under the banner of the Russian Olympic Committee, came in fifth place with (20 gold, 28 silver and 23 bronze).

While Qatar, the Philippines and Bermuda won gold for the first time in the history of their Olympic participation.


The Arab countries won 18 different medals at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics (5 gold, 4 silver, 9 bronze).

Qatar topped the list of Arab countries, in terms of the number of gold medals, with two gold medals, in addition to a bronze medal.

While Egypt topped the Arab general ranking, with 6 medals, with gold, silver and four bronze medals.

The most prominent stars of the "Tokyo 2020" Olympics:

Several world and Olympic records were broken by the stars of athletics and other types of sports, Carsten Warholm, Sydney McLaughlin, American swimmer Caleb Dressel, who won 5 gold medals, and Australian swimmer Emma McKeon, who won 7 medals, including 4 gold.

Britain's Jason Kenny and his wife Laura raised their medal tally to 12 gold, after they excelled in cycling on the track.

Jamaican runner Elaine Thompson-Hera became the first woman to win gold in the 100m and 200m at back-to-back Olympics.

American runner Alison Felix also set a record, raising her Olympic medals to 11, including 7 gold.

The Italian national team blew up a heavy surprise by winning the men's 100X4 relay gold.

Qatari champion Mutaz Issa Barshim and Italian Gianmarco Tampere shared the gold medal in the high jump competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Moataz Barshim and Gianmarco Tampere crossed the crossbar at a height of 2.37 m from the first attempt, and each of them failed in the three attempts to cross a height of 2.39 m,

The referee suggested Barshim and his rival Tampere, to continue to jump until the identity of the hero is determined, but the Qatari asked him if he and his Italian competitor together could win the gold medal. Two golds, and the silver medal for the competition was canceled.
