reported that Ronaldo will sign a contract with Manchester United for two seasons with the option to renew for a third season, and all personal terms will be agreed upon, just one day before the closure of the current summer Mercato.

The famous Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed, in a "tweet" through his personal account on the "Facebook" website, a new surprise about the Portuguese star's contract with the "Red Devils".

According to Romano, the period of Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United is 3 years, and not just two years, as all previous reports spoke, as the contract will expire in the summer of 2024.

Romano indicated that the player's salary may change from what was announced based on a set of clauses for bonuses in the contract, which he did not disclose, noting that the Manchester United management agreed to all the terms set by the Portuguese star.

Ronaldo is scheduled to receive a salary of 23 million euros, which is 6 million less than his previous salary in Juventus.

Romano confirmed that the meeting with Newcastle United, on September 11, will be the first appearance of Cristiano Ronaldo with Manchester United in the Premier League during his second period with the team.

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo, 36, defended the colors of Manchester United "Red Devils" during his first period from 2003 to 2009, in 292 games in all competitions, and scored 118 goals, in addition to 69 assists.

He won the English Premier League title 3 times, the European Champions League once, and the "Madeira missile" won the Golden Ball award.

The Portuguese national team is preparing to play three matches against Ireland, Qatar and Azerbaijan, on the days of (1, 4 and 7) next September, respectively.
