Microsoft is addressing a serious vulnerability in its software

Microsoft has addressed a serious software vulnerability in its registry systems that could have allowed access and hacking of many user accounts.

According to experts at information security company CyberArk, Microsoft "missed a software vulnerability if exploited by hackers could enable them to access the victims' electronic accounts, without the knowledge of users."

Hackers could exploit this vulnerability and send fake links to victims via e-mails and websites. When clicking on these links, they can steal codes that link a user's account to websites, which allows users to use multiple sites without having to log in every time they visit the site.

Microsoft regularly updates its software to protect users from the risk of hacking, and recently introduced software updates for computers running old Windows to protect against cyber-attacks similar to the famous WannaCry attacks.According to the information available, CyberArk informed Microsoft of the vulnerability in its software last November, and the latter addressed it. "We have solved the problem we reported in November, and our customers are still protected," a company spokesman said.
