It turns out that the famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United striker, has been the victim of a fraud that lasted for 3 years.
And the report published by the newspaper "Jornal de NotÃcias" stated that Ronaldo fell into the trap of a 53-year-old woman working as a travel agency employee, who was carrying the player's credit card details in order to arrange his trips.
The newspaper pointed out that the employee, over a period of 3 years, managed to withdraw about 288,000 euros from his card, after organizing 200 fake trips.
The newspaper added that the employee received a judgment in 2017 from the Porto Court that provides for a 4-year suspended prison sentence, and is currently paying an undisclosed monthly compensation to the agency in which she worked in order to compensate all victims.
And the Manchester United striker was not the only one whose money was stolen from him, as his agent, Jorge Mendes, as well as his former Portugal teammates, Luis Nani and Manuel Fernandez, were also cheated.
