Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo regained the top spot in the list of the highest-paid footballers in the world for 2021, surpassing his rival Lionel Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain striker.

According to Forbes, the 36-year-old Ronaldo earns an annual income of 125 million dollars, 70 million in annual salary, in addition to 55 million in commercial rights.

Messi, 34, came out of the first place in the list of the highest wages, with an annual income of 110 million dollars (75 million in salaries, in addition to 35 million in commercial rights).
