Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo regained the top spot in the list of the highest-paid footballers in the world for 2021, surpassing his rival Lionel Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
According to Forbes, the 36-year-old Ronaldo earns an annual income of 125 million dollars, 70 million in annual salary, in addition to 55 million in commercial rights.
Messi, 34, came out of the first place in the list of the highest wages, with an annual income of 110 million dollars (75 million in salaries, in addition to 35 million in commercial rights).
The 29-year-old Brazilian Neymar, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, came in third place again with 95 million dollars (including 75 million in salaries, in addition to 20 million in commercial and advertising rights), and his French teammate, Kylian Mbappe, who is from France, came fourth. Age 22, with a total income of $43 million.
The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the 29-year-old Liverpool winger, finished the top five, making $41 million this year, behind him came the Polish star Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker, with $35 million.
