A match in the Brazilian Football League witnessed an attack on the referee of the confrontation on the field by kicking him in the head as a result of calculating an indirect free kick.
And according to the Brazilian "Football" website, referee Rodrigo Crivelaro was attacked by player William Ribeiro, of the Sao Paulo-RS team, in a match in the second division, at the Edmundo Fix stadium.
That was when the referee awarded an indirect free kick to the player in the 15th minute of the second half of the meeting and an ineffective attack, which caused the referee to lose consciousness before the match was suspended.
What necessitated the entry of an ambulance and the referee was transferred to a hospital in Financio Aires, in the central region of the state, and the player Ribeiro was arrested on charges of attempted murder by the military police directly from the pitch.
And spread the video, which was broadcast on the "FGF" TV channel, showing midfielder William Ribeiro, kicking the referee, who had already fallen to the ground.
According to the information published by the Sao Paulo club on its Twitter account, the attack occurred moments after the referee tried to display a yellow card against the player, without giving any other reason.
